Kate Saunders is a student at the University of Iowa working towards a B.S in Human Physiology, a Minor in Art, and a Minor in Cinema (2024 expected). She is also a part of the University of Iowa Honor Society. Since her freshman year of college, she has been working at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics as a student research assistant for Pediatric Endocrinology (focusing on diabetes).

When attending Highland Park High School she was part of the Honors Society and was awarded the True Giant Award. The True Giant Award is an award to honor students who are collaborative, respectful, model a positive attitude, and go out of their way to assist others.

Currently, she shows her support for her community by being on the Student Board of Iowa Hillel as a Social Media & Marketing member as well as being a volunteer for Lurie Ann Children’s Hospital as a PeerWISE volunteer.
